Well Downton Abbey fanatics, you won’t have to wait much longer! ITV has just released the official season 4 trailer for the popular series.
As you will see in the trailer, Mary is faced with a very important question. We see footage of the first African-American character on the show and what seems like more drama, tears and fighting! Just what we would expect from the fine folks at Downton.
The fourth season will premiere in the UK this fall and in the United States on January 5th.
The third season finale of the very popular series Downton Abbey aired three weeks ago in the UK on ITV, but the third season doesn’t start until early next year in the United States. That being said, the ITV has renewed the series for a fourth season. This was first reported by TVLine. Although there has been no official announcement from PBS, it’s pretty much a certainty that they will indeed air the fourth season as well.
Excited by the renewal, executive producer Gareth Neame said , “Viewers can look forward to more drama, comedy, love, hatred, jealousy, rivalry, ambition, despair and romance.” The series has won a Golden Globe Award for Best Miniseries or Television Film and a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Miniseries.
Downton Abbey Season 3 will premiere Jan. 6, 2013 on PBS.
