After a four season run, A&E has decided to pull the plug on its series The Glades even after it posted a season high for its Season 4 finale.
The show was the first A&E scripted series to actually do well and build a following.
It’s finale pulled in 3.4 million total viewers, 1.1 million adults 18-49 and 1.3 million adults 25-54, but compared year to year, the numbers were down enough for the network to cancel the series. Unfortunately for fans of the show, they are kind of stuck as the Season 4 finale left somewhat of a cliffhanger.
Deadline is reporting that A&E is in final negotiations to give a full series pickup to its pilot Those Who Kill. Fans of the X-files and Millennium will recognize the name Glen Morgan. Glen wrote the script for the pilot which was directed by Joe Carnahan.
The series is based on the Danish crime series that was based on the books by Elsebeth Egholm, . The series will revolve around a police detective and a forensic profiler who possess a deep understanding of the serial killers they hunt.
The series will star Chloë Sevigny and James D’Arcy.
